Some of the treasures are still proud of the world. A few years later, the emerald of the London boutiques returned to Cartire (Cartier) was later sold to Barbara Hutton (Barbara Hutton) (1912-1978), and the pear shaped cut black pearl diamond crown was bought by the Queen Mary of of the British Empire (Queen Mary of Britain), which has been passed on to her granddaughter Elizabeth S queen (Queen Elizabeth II).

On a night in St Petersburg in July 1917, the safe was filled with many valuable treasures.

These hundreds of jewellery boxes full of necklaces, brooches and crowns are the treasures of Maria Pavlovna, the wife of Grand Duke Vladimir of Russia (1854-1920), the wife of Russian Grand Duchy of Vladimir (Pavlovna).

Maria Pavlona

Mrs. Vladimir, Grand Duchess (1852-1920)

In those years, St Petersburg was in turmoil, and there might be any guards or police at any time.

Albert Albert (1860-1939) carefully and accurately picked up a collection of jewellery curled in brocade or velvet, first wrapped in newspaper, and then put it in several old leather bags that he specially prepared for Stopford.

In March 4, 1917, the second day after the resignation of Maria paver Lorna's nephew, Tsar Nicola S, she left St Petersburg's royal palace and went to the hot springs town Keith Luo fodson at the foot of the Caucasus mountains. She thought she had only been away for a few weeks.

She quietly left the troubled capital with simple pieces of luggage and several accompanying personnel.

However, the uprising turned into a revolution, and Romanov's royal power has always withdrawn from the stage of history.

Her short stay in the mountain forest became the beginning of her real exile.

Seeing that wealth is running out, Maria Pa Flo Aa commissioned her friend Albert stave to save her jewels.

Shi Dafu, an Englishman, an art dealer, is also a secret agent.

Although he is 57 years old, he still loves adventure, especially treasure hunting.

When the war broke out, he moved to Russia, so he knew the inside and outside of the capital well.

So the late night action was carefully planned.

Because Maria was a close friend of Pall Lorna, Shi Dafu often came to see her through the secret little door behind the right entrance of Vladimir palace. A narrow staircase led directly to a private room, where the constipation was hidden in the passageway leading to the wardrobe.

According to a loyal old guard colleague who helped him at that time, jewellery was not robbed.

Maria, from the Principality of the Principality of the Principality of the Principality of the Principality of the United States of America (now Germany), received 244 rare jewels, including pearls, diamonds and a series of beautiful emeralds, when he was married to Vladimir in Russia in 1874.

Over the past 40 years, she has been constantly collecting her treasures, especially the jewellery she bought from Cartire.

In 1900, she fell in love with an elegant dog collar made of six rows of pearls and two carved white shoulder patterns. After eight years, she bought a crown of ruby and diamonds.

After the death of Vladimir in 1909, she presented herself with a crown decorated with seven sapphires, the largest of which was 137.20 carats.

Before World War I was about to begin, she continued to choose Cartire Paris boutique to indulge herself in the last craziness: she bought a feather ornament with two egg shaped cut emeralds, a decorative water drop cut diamond and a pear shaped diamond necklace weighing 39.25 grams.

She was a loyal customer of Cartire, and later became a regular customer of Cartire in Romanov's royal family.

Through Maria Pa Flo Aa and Louis Cartire (1875-1942), he enriched his knowledge of Russian culture, Faber's enamel and BOLD contrast, especially the magnificence and beauty of Russian royal art, which deeply influenced the creation of Cartire in the future.

Suitcase

The bottom was almost three years old, and in September 26, 1917, a few days before the October revolution, Shi Dafu left Russia on a Swedish ship.

After arriving in London three weeks after crossing Beihai, which was rough and floating in German mines, he stored the jewellery safely in a bank's safe.

Three years later, Maria Pa Flo Aa died in her patronage of France.

Barbara Hutton (1912-1978)

The rare jewels inherited by four children of Maria paver Lorna have gone back to the Cartire boutique in Paris after twists and turns of mysterious fate.

Louis Cartire was assigned to make a list of these treasures, and he secretly auctioned the jewellery as an intermediary.
