Exports resumed, and exports declined during the same period of 2009, according to the Statistics Center of the China Textile Industry Association.

In the 1-4 months of this year, cotton exports increased by 21.37%, and exports increased by 26.19% over the same period last year.

Cotton exports increased the most.

In 1-4 months of 2010, the export volume of cotton cloth in China reached 491 million meters, and the export volume reached 434 million 910 thousand US dollars.

The export of cotton cloth is mainly concentrated in Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, China, Hongkong, China and Japan.

In May, China's cotton production totaled 3 billion 200 million square meters, an increase of 110 million square meters, or about 3.6%, compared with April, an increase of 500 million square meters, or about 18.5%, compared with the same period last year.

In the first 5 months of this year, China's cotton production totaled 14 billion 80 million square meters, up 2 billion 380 million square meters, or about 20.3%.

From September to May, China's gross cotton production reached 26 billion 722 million square meters, an increase of 4 billion 462 million square meters, or about 20.04%.
